Cool old jdm cars1/16/2024 Not the best aftermarket support, and many parts are getting harder to find, but oh what a feeling. Anything with a 4AGE, 3SGE or 3SGTE will be downright fun, and very, very easy to work on. Toyota- lots to choose from, but owning the Celica I'm a bit biased. ) Finding a 180 or 240 that hasn't been modified or rusted or has rear quarter panel dents is going to be hard. z32.good luck working in that engine bay. Nissan, while I personally don't car for their little nuance's, are overall great. Plenty of parts support, aftermarket as well and swapping is downright crazy. Personally I'd go with a Honda, Nissan or Toyota. Don't even get me started on the fuel/fire issues. MR2's typically have overheating issues and if the cooling system hasn't been properly maintained then your going to have some serious headaches as well as troubleshooting. Hope this is more helpful than my first comment!Īny JDM car will need some thorough TLC at this point. Could also try to go for an R30 skyline, a less known much more underdog skyline that still looks amazing. Well then pardon me for assuming it was for a first car, seen way too many young people wanting an old JDM as a first car, if that's the case then you have much more liberty for an old car, if needed you can just use your current car for when a mechanical problem happens, if you want boxy Mk1 MR2 like you said is a good option but again it's a hassle to work on, FC RX7, great car, the rotary is also a hassle but if you have the time and money to put into them go right ahead, alternatively, an AE86 might suit your needs, it's blocky from the 80s, but since it appeared in InitialD pricer are through the roof,a Sílvia s13 is not as blocky as these other ones and but the nissan S chassis is amazing, if Honda's are in the picture the EF civics are pretty damn blockyz front wheel drive tho so it might be less fun.
